The owner of this painting is a very experienced sailor having raced in World class competitions, as well as many Sydney to Hobart races, Hamilton Island Race Week and many others. The racing that he most fondly remembers are those raced 0n Sydney Harbour on one-design boats such as Solings, Etchells, Lasers and J24’s.
Taken from a number of photos, I created this collage of the one design boats my client raced on Sydney Harbour and introduced a number Sydney’s landmarks including Sydney Harbour Bridge and Pinchgut.
My client was extremely happy with the painting and celebrated it’s unveiling with many of his former crew mates, family and friends. Lots of old stories were told!
