Description

ISLAND SAILING

Imagine the romance of sailing through the islands on an old J class boat.  Charting a course or just relaxing and going where the wind takes you.  Anchoring off uninhabited islands – diving overboard and discovering the reefs and colourful fish which lie waiting for you below the hull.

This painting is of a J boat sailing towards Suva and reflects the romance of “old time” sailing. With its Sepia tone, it is painted on to a copied navigation chart originally produced in 1959.

It is framed with white timber and double matting. The frame is 800 x 1100 mm and the chart is 520 x 820 mm. The painting is protected by glass.

Due to the weight of the painting, it is only available for local delivery.

This may be a gift for the sailor in your family or a friend.  Or maybe a gift to yourself that may recapture some of your experiences.  All of my artwork comes in a specially designed and handmade gift bag with Del Morrison Art card.  I can arrange to deliver it directly to the person to whom you are gifting if you wish.  Just let me know.
