LA to Hawaii Transpac Race on Dehler 46′
This painting was custom designed for a client who crewed on a Dehler 46′ in the Los Angeles to Hawaii Race.
Following the race, the boat was sailed back to Australia via many of the Pacific Islands and they stayed at Palmyra Atoll which had some very fond memories for my client with its beautiful aqua/turquoise waters, graceful coconut trees and visits from Red and Blue Footed Booby birds.
The painting is a collaboration of both the Hawaiin islands and the Pacific Islands, together with the boat they raced on and some of the crew. And of course, the trusty dinghy.
