The Bay of Islands in New Zealand is a sailing haven with hundreds of islands to visit. This painting uses an old chart of this area and picks up the beautiful blues and greens of the islands.

Description
New Zealand has such a strong sailing history and such wonderful sailing destinations. The Bay of Islands is one of those destinations. I was fortunate to have been given a set of charts of New Zealand with wonderful blues, greens and aquas which provide a beautiful backdrop for the sailing yachts. I have a number of New Zealand charts which can be used for Custom painting – see my information on Custom designed art for you.
This painting is painted onto an original chart produced by the Royal New Zealand Navy. The area on the chart includes Motuarohia Island (or Roberton Island). I have used the beautiful blues, greens and aquas used in the chart.
This painting would make a great gift for the sailor in your family or a friend. Or maybe a gift to yourself that may recapture some of your experiences.
