Reflections of a Blood Moon

This painting was inspired by a photo that my friend took recently. It was a beautiful calm night – not a breath of air so the reflections in the water were almost perfect without a ripple.

The painting was also inspired by the blood moons that we have been seeing recently.  The yellowish/orange reflects so well against the black background.

The light of the moon was strong enough to highlight the hull, masts and rigging of the boats moored at the marina.

The painting is ready to hang.
